Our National Leadership Team

The following are short bios on our senior leadership team, which has more than 150 years of combined experience in charitable, estate, tax, and legal planning:

Chris Holdorf – Chief Executive Officer
Chris has a diverse background of ministry and corporate experience, including senior executive roles at Arthur Andersen & Co., Contel Corporation, GTE, and Southern Electric International. Most recently, he served as senior pastor at the 1,500-member Oak Hill Baptist Church in Griffin, Georgia, and prior to that as executive pastor at First Redeemer Church in Cumming, Georgia, where he was instrumental in leading the church’s growth from 90 people at its inception in 1996 to over 4,200 members. Chris holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Masters of Accountancy from the University of Georgia, a Masters of Arts in Theology from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, and an honorary Doctor of Divinity from Emmanuel Theological Seminary in Kota, India. He is also pursuing a Doctor of Strategic Leadership from Regent University. Chris is a frequent speaker to business groups and consultant concerning strategy and organizational vision, and he currently serves on the Boards of Directors for numerous charitable and civic organizations. He and his wife Lynn have been married for thirty-six years, and they have two grown children (Christopher and Emily) and one grandson (Colton).

Kevin Arner – Chief Strategy Officer
Most recently, Kevin served as Chief Strategy Officer of Global Healthcare Alliance in Houston, TX, where he was responsible for redefining the business model and technology strategy for this market leader in cardiovascular, orthopedic, and neurosurgical healthcare solutions. Kevin also served as CEO of PaySpan, Inc., a Jacksonville,FL-based leader in the healthcare payment automation market. Recruited to define new strategic options, Kevin led PaySpan to unprecedented growth and market capitalization through product and service innovation and by repositioning the company’s value proposition. As an innovator and entrepreneur, Kevin’s experience has taken him from company founder to IPO leader by leveraging technology, intellectual property, human resources, and strategy in order to create sustainable value. With a passion for world missions, Kevin lends strategic thinking to help ministries become more effective in the pursuit of Kingdom impact. Kevin and his wife Marnita have two adult children and recently relocated from Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, to Atlanta, GA.

Dave Johnson – Chief Financial and Investment Officer
Dave has served in a senior financial executive role for over 23 years and oversees the finance, accounting, and regulatory compliance functions of National Christian Foundation. He became a CPA while working in the audit practice at Deloitte & Touche's San Diego office. He then served as the CFO of The INJOY Group, a conglomerate of companies that specialize in leadership development, church growth, and capital-fundraising consulting for private and non-profit organizations. Dave came to NCF after serving as a consultant to small businesses in the areas of finance, accounting, and administrative management. He received his B.S. in accounting from San Diego State University, his MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, and is a licensed CPA in California and Georgia.

Randy Thrasher – Chief Operating Officer
Randy is responsible for marketing strategy, communications, and development of innovative giving solutions across our national network of local affiliates. He leads our growth initiatives to increase awareness and enhance the giving experience and value proposition for donors, ministries, and financial advisors. Previously, Randy was owner, Chairman & CEO of Leader Enterprises, a national full-service marketing firm. He also spent ten years as a consulting Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers in its Global Marketing & Media Communications practice. Randy has founded and partnered in successful start-ups, served on Boards, held interim executive positions, and consulted to non-profit and ministry organizations throughout the world. He also served six years as a War Games Strategy Specialist in the U.S. Army Reserves. He graduated from the School of Commerce and Business at The University of Alabama. Randy and his wife Pam have been married more than 42 years, live in Atlanta, and are blessed with three children, Todd, Chad, Kimberly, and six grandchildren.

Tim Townsend, J.D. – General Counsel
Tim has practiced corporate and tax law since 1991, most recently as a principal with the Atlanta law firm of Townsend McKee, P.C. (now McKee & McKee). In addition to business clients, Tim served numerous denominations, colleges, national ministries, churches, and family foundations. He has freqently addressed complex exempt-organization legal issues, and has spoken on such issues for various professional organizations, including the Georgia Society of CPA's. Tim received his B.S. degree in Accounting from Bob Jones University in South Carolina, and his law degree from the University of Michigan. He serves as an elder on the session of his church, and as advisor to his church's summer youth camp.
